Atlantic Road Trip Live at Cafe Paradiso

Atlantic Road Trip brings together prominent composers from Europe and America to explore the evolution and interplay of indigenous music from Scotland, Ireland, Slovakia, Africa and South America in an improvisational contemporary jazz context. Co-led by trumpeter Chad McCullough, vibraphonist Miro Herak, and saxophonist Paul Towndrow, they will play from their debut album ONE, recorded in Glasgow earlier this year, which shines an honest light on such historical events as colonialism, the slave trade, the Scottish Highland clearances, the American urban immigrant experience, World Wars, and the rise and fall of the Iron Curtain.
