Running of the Wiener Dog Race

Fairfield First Fridays Art Walk is Calling All Wieners and Wiener Wannabe’s! Fairfield First
Fridays Art Walk will be hosting a Running of the Wiener dog race as part of its
OKTOBERFEST on Friday, October 6, 2023 located on the NW side of the Fairfield Town
Square. Registration starts at 6:00pm, and the race starts at 6:30pm. Winners will be
announced at 7:30pm at the Gazebo.

Bring your Wieners and your Wiener Wannabe’s (Under 25 pounds please).
The winners of each heat will run in a final heat to determine the OKTOBERFEST
Champion and two runners up.

Each dog will require two handlers: we need a person to release the dog and one to catch
the dog. The dogs will race in a fenced-in area, but should be on a leash at all other times.
We ask that pet owners use common sense in being responsible for the safety of your
animal and please leave your wiener dog at home if she is in heat.

Volunteers are needed to help the race run smoothly. If you would like to help with this furry,
