More about Matias Sotto:
Matias Sotto is an internationally recognized Tango Instructor and award-winning dancer who has taught and performed extensively since 2009 in Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Shanghai, Manilla, and Mexico City. We are fortunate to host Mati for an extended residency during his first tour in the USA, where he will also be a featured instructor and performer with Luciana Valle at the Portland Tango Festival.
Mati guides his students in a more “natural” style of tango informed by his training in biomechanics, pilates and ballet. He credits his training to the highly respected Tango mentors Carlos Peréz, Rosa Forte, Daniel Nacucchio, Cristina Sosa and Luciana Valle, and his Biomechanics and Ballet teacher Marcela Trapé.
