Iowa Dance Collective

Iowa Dance Collective is a dance studio and creative space that focuses on the highest caliber of training while allowing young artists to truly discover themselves. We offer classes across many genres of movement including: -Jazz -Ballet -Contemporary -Modern -Tap -Acro/Gymnastics -Lyrical -Hip Hop -Creative Movement -Improvisation -Adult Classes -DiscoverDance -Tiny Music -Private Lessons Our classes are open to all, regardless of skill level. Our educators have decades of experience through dance, acting, music, figure skating, early childhood education, and gymnastics from which we have curated our curricula. We strive to make a positive impact in our students’ lives and the community, as a whole. With a team of dedicated movement artists leading the way, we are offering an experience unlike any other.

The Lab

The Lab is a space for dance, musical performances, social gatherings, etc. This space is occasionally rented out. It also has events open to the public as a community service.

West Coast Swing, Tango, Contra & English Country Dance in Fairfield

Monthly 1st (usually!) Saturday West Coast Swing Dance Party 7:30-9:30 pm at Morning Star Studio 51 1/2 S Court St, Fairfield PLUS additional dance events in Tango, Zouk, English Country Dance and Contra Dance. 1st Sat. West Coast Swing Dance Party music will include a get-up-and-boogie West Coast Swing-friendly playlist with a mix of pop, blues, R&B, with some bachata, rumba, night club 2-step, etc. tunes for even more variety. Even if you don’t know West Coast Swing, please come and enjoy! Beginners welcome! $5 Monthly (Saturday) Contra Dance at Morning Star Studio 51 1/2 S Court St — check schedule at ffadc.blogspot.com as it varies month to month. Live music with calling by Jennifer Hamilton and April Maberry. All dances are taught, and beginners (and everyone who is rusty!) are warmly encouraged to come for review and instruction at 7:00 pm — dance from 7:30-9:30 pm Admission is just $7 (free for kids under 12). Please carry in clean shoes to dance in — and bring snacks to share!
